As for the 2013 Chardonnay Dutton Ranch, this leans more toward tropical fruits, such as pineapple and mango, with buttery brioche notes, a good, deep, rich full-bodied mouthfeel and one of the more exotic personalities in this portfolio. Drink over the next 4-6 years.

The 2013 Chardonnay Dutton Ranch is open, radiant and quite giving. Candied lemon, orange peel, spice, mint and floral notes meld together in a sensual, finely-knit Chardonnay long on depth and class. Deceptive in its first impression, the Dutton shows more structure and underlying salinity as it sits in the glass. Dutton was Kistler’s lowest yielding site in 2013. As a result, the wine is endowed with a real sense of textural richness.
