2024 Stock Ranch Chardonnay

Notes

Pale yellow, green-tinged. Perfumed top note aromas of sweet ripe darker tinted citrus, and fresh herbs mixed with a distinct Pacific-born salinity and umami. Mid-weighted at its base, and held taught by natural, well-integrated lively, acids. Exceedingly long finish. We’re excited to see where this vineyard leads us as promising as it is in its early vintages. Delicious.

Notes of fresh grapefruit and lemons begrudgingly emerge from the glass of the 2024 Chardonnay Stock Ranch, slowly opening out to reveal hints of wet pebbles, lime leaves, and fresh ginger. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is filled with ginger-laced citrus fruit layers, supported by a lively backbone of acidity and chalky texture, finishing long and zesty.

A brilliant, racy and vivid wine that expresses the saline, citrus qualities of Sonoma Coast. It’s layered, concentrated and high in acidity, showing a bracing, crisp texture and overall linear expression. Elegant, mineral-driven and distinctive. Drink now or hold.

Coming from above Silver Eagle, the 2024 Chardonnay Stock Ranch is a youthful golden yellow hue and only the third vintage produced from this tiny site of 112-year-old vines. There is real intensity and concentration here, yet the wine remains graceful and beautifully composed. Vanilla bean, saline lift, plush fruit, citrus oils, and floral tones all emerge from the glass. Texturally layered and highly seductive, this should age gracefully over the next 10-15 years.
