2024 Dutton Ranch Chardonnay
Notes
Green-tinged, pale yellow. Focused and piercing aromas of just ripe green orchard fruit, lime, roasted hazelnuts, and hints of struck flint. Penetrating and vivacious, medium bodied, lively acids and a strong wet rock like character that give this wine drive and energetic length. Distinctively Dutton.

The 2024 Chardonnay Dutton Ranch comes bounding out with bold notes of apple tart, crunchy peaches, and beeswax, followed by hints of baking bread and marzipan. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers a compelling chalkiness to the texture with a crisp backbone and long peachy finish.

Could be the archetypal Russian River chardonnay, with its rich orchard-fruit and butterscotch flavors and relaxed, luxurious texture. Bosc pears, lemon curd and vanilla bean add to its concentration. Full-bodied and mouth-filling. Drink now or hold.

The 2024 Chardonnay Dutton Ranch is absolutely gorgeous with notes of lemon sherbet, Gravenstein apple, verbena, candied lime, and fresh dewy earth. Medium to full-bodied, it floats effortlessly across the palate with snappy freshness and terrific purity. More approachable and immediate than some in the range, this is a wine I really love.

The 2024 Chardonnay Dutton Ranch is one of the more restrained Chardonnays in the range. It offers notable aromatic presence and plenty of cut, but it also feels a bit tight texturally, especially on the mid-palate. It will be interesting to see if this fleshes out a bit with time in bottle. Citrus peel, lemon oil, hazelnut and white flowers linger.
