2023 Trenton Roadhouse Chardonnay

Notes

Green-tinged yellow to pale yellow. Lifted, poised and pretty aromatics of newly pollinated citrus flowers and yellow orchard fruit skins peppered with hints of crushed rock.  Ripe pitted fruit flavors, pinned by lovely natural acidity fills, make for a notable entrance on the palate. Often in many ways prettier than our other Chardonnays with an elevated distinct mix of light floral and fruited perfumes, more top notes, woven throughout its soil influenced notes. Well weighted and lasting finish. Delicious.

The 2023 Chardonnay Trenton Roadhouse needs a little coaxing to bring out notes of ripe peaches, fresh pineapple, and cedar chest, giving way to hints of pie crust, nutmeg, and mandarin peel. The medium to full-bodied palate is coated with tangy tropical fruit flavors, framed by a lively line and silky texture, finishing long and lifted.

An ethereal, melted, creamy white that's silky in texture and so ripe and rich in flavor on a full body. Mouth-coating flavors of poached pears, creme brulee, lemon meringue and vanilla bean expand in the glass. Difficult not to drink it now, but best from 2030.

From the Russian River Valley, the 2023 Chardonnay Trenton Roadhouse is savory on the nose with notes of flinty crushed stones, and it has compact focus on the palate, with toasty savoriness, Alsatian-like peach and yellow flowers, and a clean, chalky finish. Drink 2025-2037.

The 2023 Chardonnay Trenton Roadhouse is another super-impressive wine in this range from Kistler. Aromatic and light on its feet, the 2023 is attractive for with its gracious, poised personality. Citrus, white flowers, chalk, slate and dried herbs lend nuance to this decidedly translucent, ethereal Chardonnay. The Trenton Roadhouse is all about subtlety.

The 2023 Chardonnay Trenton Roadhouse bursts from the glass with intense aromas of peach, quince paste, honey, citrus blossoms and flint. The full-bodied palate pairs intensely concentrated, flint-laced flavors with mouthwatering acidity, and it has a very long, dynamic finish.
