Notes
Lifted, perfumed aromatics of just crushed wild berries both blue and red, violets, graphite shavings and a slight wildness like the berry patch itself.　Powerful yet poised, approachable yet with taut underpinnings, the mid palate delivery of bright purple to red-purple fruit fills, in an elegant, effortlessly way but with presence. Graceful soft tannins marry with the finishing acidities to prolong the finish as a whole, with great length. A pleasurable marker of a unique vintage.

Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2023 Pinot Noir Laguna Ridge Vineyard prances out with showy notes of black raspberries, red currant jelly, and iris bulb, leading to hints of moss and tar. Medium-bodied, the palate delivers enticing tension with very finely-grained tannins and bags of bright red berry flavors, finishing long and earthy.

Beautiful fruit flavors and a supple texture give power with elegance in this full-bodied red. So enticing in aroma, offering blueberries, dark cherries, blackcurrants and violets, then rich berries on the palate wrapped in moderate tannins and just enough acidity for liveliness. Lovely to sip, and the flavors linger long. Drink now or hold.

A deeper magenta-toned color, the 2023 Pinot Noir Laguna Ridge Vineyard is deep with notes of violets, black raspberries, fresh leather, and mossy earth. It offers full-bodied richness, with plush, well-defined tannins, refreshing acidity, and a long, snappy, fresh finish. I love this one, and while it has a hint of opulence, it has good freshness and definition to hold it through a long finish. Drink 2027-2047.

Red fruits, blood orange, spice, menthol and rose petal soar from the glass. This vertical, mid-weight Pinot has so much to offer. I admire its poise and balance.
